Monday 22nd June
Hi boys , as this is our last week in school before summer holidays we decided that we wouldn't pop up any written work this week . Instead enjoy the sunshine, (if it comes out!) and do some nice activities in your area. Go to the park , or the beach or spend some time outside. As always please help with jobs at home like tidying your room or baking or making dinner . We will have a list of nice summer events and activities below to help.
We hope you have a lovely week.

We have homework assigned for each day this week. You will find it all on the Aladdin App. These are all just suggestions as we know from the principal’s blog that you are doing so much with your children already.
We have attached worksheets for each of the days, however If you do not have access to a printer it is absolutely fine for the boys to complete the activities in their writing or maths copies.
For Monday’s homework this week there is a worksheet attached which involves arranging sentences into the correct order. We have assigned three for Monday and three for Tuesday, there are ten sentences in total on the worksheet so feel free to do them all!! Or shorten to two sentences on the Monday and Tuesday, you know best.
When doing the story of ten, it helps to have ten objects and to split them into two groups starting with 0 on one side and ten on the other giving us the first sum 0+10=10. Then move one counter over to the other side giving us 1+9=10 and continue to move another counter over until you arrive at 10+0=10. If you would prefer to do this activity online you can access the cjfallon website and go to senior infants, Busy at Maths pg 90 and interactive activity 90.
In terms of reading, the boys can read their next two readers online on the Folens website folensonline.ie. You can register as a teacher, roll number is given on the page and you can get access to the readers. However reading one of their books from home is absolutely perfect. Worldbookonline.com are giving free access to over 3000 ebooks and have books suitable for all ages and reading levels too.
As parents ourselves we all understand how challenging this time is so please don’t be under pressure, we know you are all doing your best to keep them busy! Should you have any queries or feedback you can contact us at the following email address [email protected]
Here are some links for the school books you use. The book companies have kindly opened them up for all to use for free!
You may need our Roll Number 18762D
